Step Two
Tap to launch Cydia from your SpringBoard.

Step Three
Press to select Manage from the tabs at the bottom of the screen.

Step Four
Press the large Sources button.

Step Five
Press the Edit button at the top right of the screen.

Step Fourteen
Insert your new SIM card and tap to select SAMPrefs from your SpringBoard.

Step Fifteen
Make sure your Method is set to Auto Detect and tap Utilities. Note**: If Auto-Detect doesn't work you can change Method to By Country and Carrier and select the phone's ORIGINAL carrier manually.

Step Sixteen
Press the Attempt Activation button. If you don't see Attempt Activation then select De-Activate iPhone and the Attempt Activation button should appear.

Step Seventeen
A popup will appear letting you know that "this may take a while".

Step Eighteen
Eventually your iPhone will respring and after searching for a bit your new network will be detected!

Step Nineteen
You should now backup your iPhone unlock ticket in case this method is ever blocked. You can find instructions on how to backup the unlock ticket here.

IMPORTANT:
Your phone will work normally with your SIM card and that SIM card ONLY since we have tricked iTunes to think that ICCID is one of the intended carrier's. The phone can be rebooted and connected to iTunes freely without losing the "unlock", at least for now.

A big thanks to Sam Bingner, Loktar_Sun and Laforet for their contributions!

Customize Windows 7 Task Manager Colors With Task Manager Modder

Task Manager Modder is a portable application for Windows 7 to customize (change colors of) the Task Manager. With this app you can change the grids, lines and colors of the Task Manager. The idea of changing the Task managers appearance is quite novel and can be handy for making the grid lines and color of its indicators appear more lively. It may also be helpful for people who might find the default Task manager colors to be uncomfortable or may be color blind.
Once launched, Task Manager Modder displays an interface which resembles a Shotty like screenshot. You can change the color of the CPU, Memory, Grid, Digits, and Bar by moving the slider from the bottom of the interface. The color options include 6 hex digits values (which can be applied by checking the Hex Grid option), whereas other colors can be enabled by simply moving the sliders. As you move the slider to the right, the color will start changing (e.g. from red to blue). You can use each slider to select colors for each category of the Performance tab of Task Manager. Once you have applied the changes, click Modify Taskmgr.

This will immediately apply the changes to the Task Manager, no restart required. The changes are easy to revert and the colors can be changed again at any time.

The applied changes will also affect the networking tab. To revert the changes, launch Task Manager Modder and click Restore Taskmgr.

Note: Make sure that the Task Manager is closed when applying changes, otherwise an error will appear that the Task Manager was not found.
Task Manager Modder is developed for Windows 7 only. It will not work on previous versions of Windows.

How To Disable Windows Task Manager Using Registry

Note: If you are looking to enable your task manager if it got disabled by your administrator or some virus, then have a look at this post. This tip is for disabling your task manager, not enable it.
Sometimes one needs to disable the task manager to give clients limited access in a network or to prevent other users from doing a specific task. There are multiple software available for this purpose, but the best way is to disable it using Local Group Policy Editor which is build-in your Windows and does not require any software to be installed.

To begin with you will have to open Local Group Policy Editor, to do this go to Run and enter gpedit.msc.
 group policy editor run
Now navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl+Alt+Del Options as shown in the screenshot below.
local group policy editor system
Now simply double-click on Remove Task Manager and you will see a dialog box, select Enabled and click OK as shown below.
remove task manager properties
Now you will see your Computer’s Task Manager has been disabled. To enable it back, select Not Configured. That’s it, wasn’t it simple.

Repair Task Manager, Registry, And More After Malware Attack [Windows]

By now, you would be well aware of the plethora of problems that virus and malware attacks leave in their wake. Disabled Task Manager, Registry Editor vanishing, Command Prompt barred, Folder Options nowhere to be found, just to name a few. While many anti-malware applications are good enough when it comes to removing the infection, they cannot exactly repair the collateral damage that your system had suffered. Hence a utility like Quick Disaster Recovery comes into play.
This very light, free and portable tool has been created to repair those minor issues that are usually left behind by a malware infection. It can fix quite a few common issues, and can also serve as a very basic task manager replacement, should Windows task manager may not be accessible.
image
As you can see from the screenshot above, all options are grayed out because nothing is wrong with my computer. For me, the only two options available are either to delete my temporary internet files, or to launch the task manager replacement, exhibited in the next screenshot. Having non-applicable options disabled is a good thing since it prevents any accidental changes to your machine.

Quick Disaster Recovery is an open source project developed for the MS Windows operating environment. We tested it on Windows 7 x86 system setup, but the developer says it should work fine with 64-bit architecture as well.
